The ÉñÂíÎÒ²»¿¨¸£Àû/Tuolumne County Fire Department Station 79 is a cooperative program between ÉñÂíÎÒ²»¿¨¸£Àû and Tuolumne County Fire Department. The design of the program is to take Firefighters who have graduated the ÉñÂíÎÒ²»¿¨¸£Àû Fire Academy (or another accredited academy) and give them the opportunity to work at working fire station. This gives the new firefighters a chance to hone their skills they have learned at the academy and build on them. It also gives them a chance to work on their California State Fire Marshal Firefighter 1 and 2 task books. Another advantage to the program it gives them a chance to learn how to live at a firehouse, learning chain of command, daily firehouse routines, apparatus checks, and time management. While they are here, they are encouraged to continue their education at ÉñÂíÎÒ²»¿¨¸£Àû and complete their Associate Degree program.
