The Engine Repair Skills Attainment Certificate encompasses the skills necessary to become successfully employed, performing engine-related diagnostics and repairs.

The Associate in Science Degree - Engineering Fundamentals is designed to give you the stepping stones in math and physical sciences to prepare for university transfer, where you can then specialize in the type of engineering you are interested in pursuing.

The English program provides students with core instruction in composition, literature, and critical thinking. Major coursework fosters writing, exploration, and examination of essential literary works and film, and their cultural relevance to the needs of the 21st century. Many businesses around the country are looking for English majors with translator experience, technical writing skills, and public relations communication skills. New careers are evolving in areas related to digital platforms, as well as in television and other media formats.

This certificate is awarded to students who have completed sufficient coursework in the English language. The courses focus on speaking, reading, writing, and listening for practical, professional, and academic communication.

The Entrepreneurship Certificate is designed for the student who seeks to be an entrepreneur in start-up ventures, operate a family business, or work as an entrepreneurial change agent within a corporate setting. Companies want to hire graduates with initiative and who show entrepreneurial characteristics. Students who display entrepreneurial attributes will add more value to their companies, eventually start their own business, and can make a big contribution to the overall economy.

The Environmental Science program provides students with the core curriculum required in the first two years of a college experience leading to a Bachelor of Science (BS) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Environmental Science. Students will benefit from rich and in-depth science courses providing the basis for any environmental sciences degree requiring courses in a biology, chemistry, math, physics, earth science or economics.

The Studio Arts program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in visual design elements and principals, common materials and techniques, and with a historical and cultural context. We offer classes in applied art such as drawing, painting, watercolor and photography as well as digital art for our students to have a well-rounded experience. The degree also seeks to promote critical visual thinking, problem solving and evaluation, and nurture creative independence.

The Associate in Science Degree is awarded in Science and Technical fields. It is designed as the first step for students who intend to transfer to a four-year institution, however, students should meet with a counselor to determine additional transfer requirements.

This associate degree is designed for students who desire to enter the firefighting field. Courses provide students with applicable, hands on experiences that meet requirements to be hired and start a career as a firefighter in California.

This certificate is designed for students who desire to enter the firefighting field and meets requirements for the California State Firefighter 1 Certification. Upon successful completion of FIRE101A-E and EMS157 or EMS158, it is then the student’s responsibility to complete the required field experience with Fire Department verification (either six months full-time or one year part-time or volunteer) before applying to the State. This certificate also introduces students entering the field to the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT), which is a requirement to be hired as a firefighter in California.

This Associate in Science Degree will provide students with skills and training for immediate entry into the workforce in a management role. Students interested in the management side of foodservice will benefit from training in accounting principles, supervisory skills, legal concerns, dining room management, catering operations, and beverage controls. Technical skills needed to oversee staff in culinary, baking, and serving roles are an additional focus.

This Certificate of Achievement will provide students with skills and training for immediate entry into the workforce in a management role. Our Forestry and Natural Resources (FNR) program equips students with the applied skills, training and experience for immediate entry into the workforce, and also can work toward transfer requirements for four year universities.
